4Works in Los Angeles!
By P. Chun
My wife lately gave me a new iPod Nano. I wanted to use it in my car but, my old FM transmitter stopped working. I set out to find a new transmitter that will be compatible and one that in particular, connected to the iPod by way of the headphone jack. I have purchased various dissimilar FM transmitters that connected to the bottom connector of the iPod that didn't work very well in Los Angeles. The only one that did work was the NewerTech RoadTrip FM that just had the headphone connector. However, it broke and it is not sold anymore.

Decided to give the AllKit FM Transmitter a try. I figure for less than $8 bucks, what the heck. Well, I've been using it for in regards to a month now and it works great, even with the busy airways here in Los Angeles. Also used it on a five hour road trip to Carmel and it worked like a champ. The sound is beauteous good. Not as good as a directly connected iPod but, unfortunately, I purchased my Outback one year early and I don't feel like taking apart my whole consolation and using a soldering iron on my stereo to add an aux jack.

I haven't tried the remote yet but, I'll give it a try soon. I commonly just put my iPod on shuffle so I normally don't touch it while driving. The unit itself feels a little flimsy and the side clamps are already jammed but, for what I paid, I'm just glad I may listen to my new iPod while I drive around LA county. For when it comes to $14.00 total including shipping, this is a bargain. My $40 plus monster FM transmitter never worked as good.

4Love it!
By FutureE9
This thing works like a charm. I plug my iTouch into it; it securely holds it; it charges it and it plays my tunes through my stereo. I in the first place purchased it to charge my iTouch while using it as a GPS. in my car there are 2 cigarette lighter ports. This now permanently occupies one of them.

3works, but...
By j.kelley
it's great and works, but where you insert the device into the car, it would not stay secure. each time I turned a corner, braked or stepped on the accelerator, the device fell out. If you may get it to stay plugged in then it would be a outstanding product.
